At last-news about my trip to Zimbabwe.

In March 2011 I found myself assisting my husband, Trevor to teach Emotional Logic to an enthusiastic and varied group of 21 people in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. I had had this idea that I might go and do some medical work-or maybe teach medical students-but God had His agenda and that wasn’t on it-not that time, anyway!
The Sethule Orphan project is an amazing, growing and developing project-find out all about it at www.sethule.org The orphans are not just nourished physically, looked after medically and educated-their emotional and spiritual wellbeing is given just as much input as their physical health. Each is treated as an individual and found a family environment where they can truly thrive. Trevor and I were privileged to attend a bereavement counselling course where orphans were given an opportunity in a safe and non threatening environment to express and record in art form their deepest griefs, fears and hopes. We were very impressed by the commitment to following up on these revelations.

Emotional Logic is already being well used by the bereavement counsellors as well as pastors and others in caring roles in Zimbabwe.

The Spiritual welfare of the children is always high on the agenda at Sethule. One example of this is the Summer Camp called-ATTIC-’A Time To Accept Christ’. Young people 14-19yr from different Churches spend a week together working as teams and competing in Bible Quizes, Drama, Poetry and song writing and Sports as well as attending bible teaching.

Trevor and I are looking forward to returning to Bulawayo in the Autumn-and wonder what God will have on the agenda then!

Dear Neil,

Trevor and I went to Uganda mostly for a holiday-but,then, you want to get involved with such friendly people!

Amongst other places, we visited a medical clinic,a maternity unit ‘in gestation’ (in process!) and the home of Pastor John who cares for 100 orphans and has a pile of bricks and a vision for an orphanage.

Sunrise apartments at Fort Portal overlooking the Rwenzori mountains was a wonderful base-close to game parks, crater lakes and impenetrable forest.You would be well looked-after and any profit from your stay would go into the various Christian projects.We will be going back!
